- Add grated tomatoes,tomatoe paste and cook for a minute in medium heat
- Add the meat and potatoes and soy sauce(it helps give the dark colour) stir n let them cook for a minute in low heat
- Wash your rice add to the pot n add salt.mix well with the ladel until everything is mixed.
- Then add the stock from the beef you set aside.make sure its hot.measure 2 mugs of the stock since the rice was one mug
- Stir cover n let it cook in the normal heat
- When the water reduces reduce the heat to low let it dry slowly
- Cover with the foil to enable steam cook the top rice for 2 minutes.
- Remove from the heat n let it sit covered with the foil for 20minutes.
- Prepare kachumbari n serve your pilau
