The ingredients needed to make Kadhi with Tadka:
  1. Prepare 1 and half cup homemade curd
  2. Prepare Half cup gram flour
  3. Make ready 2 tablespoons salt
  4. Get 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
  5. Make ready 1 and half tablespoon turmeric or less
  6. Take Half tablespoon black pepper powder
  7. Prepare 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  8. Prepare 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  9. Prepare Pinch ASAFETIDA
  10. Prepare 1 tablespoon kitchen king
  11. Prepare 1 tablespoon kasoori methi
  12. Prepare 1 tablespoon curry leaves
  13. Make ready 1 tablespoon garam masala
  14. Prepare 1 big onion chopped
  15. Prepare Green chilli optional
  16. Take 1 tablespoon ginger garlic grated
  17. Prepare Half tablespoon cumin seeds
  18. Make ready Half tablespoon coriander seeds
  19. Get Half tablespoon methi seeds
  20. Prepare Half tablespoon black mustard seeds

For Tadka While preparing tadka/tempering play along with the ingredients. I prefer to flavor kadhi with garlic Enjoy warm kadhi with hot chapatis or over bed of warm steamed rice. Check out our other appe pan. Heat Ghee in a small pan.

Instructions to make Kadhi with Tadka:
  1. First apology to not mention time before this.now first mix curd and gramflour properly and add=salt+turmeric+red chilli powder+black pepper powder+garam masala+kitchen king+coriander powder+cumin powder+hing+kasoori methi.mix well.do not leave lumps.add some water too
  2. Now boil it in a heavy base pan.stir until it start boiling.remenber kadhi takes time.cook atleast for 40 minutes
  3. Now after 30 minutes start preparing for tadka.roast in a pan add some sunflower oil.when it look very hot just add all seeds like=cumin,methi,coriander,mustard,curry leaves
  4. When it start changing colors just add chopped onion and ginger and garlic and green chilli
  5. Make them brown and add it to kadhi.now again stir it atleast for 15 to 20 minutes
  6. Yummy new style kadhi is ready

Lower the heat to lower medium and add hing+cumin seeds to the pan. The kadhi with boondi on top looks spectacular. Punjabi kadhi chawal is an all-time favourite in Punjabi homes.
