- Make slightly big balls out of the dough and start rolling them
- For this take a dough ball and flatten it on the flattening board,dust some dry flour and roll it as a small chapatti then grease it with drop of ghee and apply peanut butter with the help of a cuttlary knife(this will give a nutty flavour to yo'r paratha) then fold it from both sides and again fold from both side and make a square shape
- Flatten it as a square paratha by dusting little flour on the flattening surface..the paratha must be slightly thick
- Heat a non stick skillet or an iron tawa and place the flatten paratha on it
- Cook it from both sides by flipping (turning upside down),then apply clarified butter/desi ghee and fry it nicely..make all the paratha with same cooking process
- Yo'r dal paratha r now done..cut into half diagonally..apply few drops of ghee
- Serve hot with curd/butter and with a cup of tea/coffee or yo'r favorite milk shake
It can be prepared with any dal. I have used chana dal to prepare this paratha. This is a very healthy, filling and nutritious breakfast. With a vegetable side dish and curd, it makes a balanced or wholesome meal. Dal Paratha is wheat flour paratha stuffed with spicy moong dal and serves as an excellent breakfast snack.
