- Take 2 medium sized Potatoes cubed
- Get 150 gms Paneer cubed
- Take 200 gms Fresh Curd
- Take 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Take 1.5 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- Get 1/2 tsp Dhania Jeera Powder
- Make ready 3 tsp Biryani Masala
- Prepare to taste Salt
- Take 1/2 cup Green Coriander Leaves chopped
- Get 1/4 cup Mint leaves roughly chopped with hands
- Make ready 1/4 cup Fried Onions/Barista
- Get 1 and 1/4 cup Basmati Rice
- Get 2 tbsp Saffron Water
- Take 2 cups Water
But this pressure cooker biryani do taste equally well. I make this once a week as it is an easy one pot meal. Some times even for a weeknight But only thing I hav to ask u is , when I'm doing veg briyani in pressure cooker, the rice is becoming like pongal….so pls tell me the tips to make briyani as yours. When I was working,my colleague who is a bachelor used to bring this simple veg biryani at least twice in a week.
Steps to make Veg Biryani in Pressure Cooker !!:
- Soak basmati rice in water for 30 mins and then remove in stainer.
- In a large pressure cooker, heat up the ghee on medium to high flame. Add shahi jeera, tej patta /Bay leaf, star anise, cloves, green cardamoms and black peppers. Saute for a minute then add finely chopped onions. Cook till it turns translucent and then add ginger garlic paste. Saute for a minute and then add all vegetables except paneer cubes. Mix well and cook till vegetables shrinks.
- Lower the flame and add curd. Also add turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, dhania jeera powder, biryani masala and salt. Add paneer cubes. Mix everything very well.
- Cover the pressure cooker with the lid and allow it to cook on low flame for 25 to 30 mins.
- Let the pressure cooker cool down. Serve hot biryani with Salan or raita.
