- Get 300 g Matumbo
- Prepare 1 tsp oil
- Take 1 large onion
- Take 2 large tomatoes

- Get 1 TSP royco

- Wash Matumbo. Then put to boil for 3 hours when using a jiko but if using a pressure cooker, it should take 90mins.
- It should be soft after 30 minutes.
- Remove from heat, allow to cool then cut the Matumbo into small pieces. Dice the tomatoes too and onions
- In a clean pan fry the onions until golden brown, add in tomatoes.
- Stir until the tomatoes are mashed up then add in Matumbo and salt.
- Mix very well. Then add in a little water and finally royco.
- Boil for 30 minutes
- Serve with Ugali
