  1. Soak rice in water for half an hour
  2. Cut the vegetables. Make the ginger-garlic paste.

  5. Add ginger-garlic paste and pepper.

  8. Add the prawns. Mix carefully without breaking them. Cook for 1 minute (until they start to become slightly C-shaped)
  9. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, dried Fenugreek. Mix well.
  10. Add water(1:1.5 ::rice:water). Put a lid on it until it starts to boil. Taste the water to check for salt and spice.
  11. Drain the rice thoroughly.
  12. Once the water boils, add the rice. Mix carefully.
  13. Cook it in a pressure cooker for 15 minutes on low flame.
  14. Mix and serve. Garnish with lemon and onions.

I Use coconut milk in my regular prawn pulao too but this recipe is a little different and am glad I tried it. Pulao is one of the most favored rice dishes within India.
