Instructions to make Chole Pulao:
  1. In a pressure cooker heat oil and saute bay leaf, star anise, cloves, cinnamon and jeera till it turns aromat.
  2. Saute onion till golden brown, then add ginger garlic paste and saute few seconds then add chopped tomatoes and saute few minutes.
  3. Then add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, chana masala powder, garam masala, kasuri methi and salt. saute well.
  4. Now add soaked and boiled chickpea mint and coriander leaves and saute for a minute. - Then add basmati rice (soaked for 20 minutes) and saute gently.
  5. Now add 2 cup water and stir well. - cover and pressure cook for 1 whistles. - Finally, garnish with coriander and serve chana pulao along with any raita or any veg or non veg curry.
