- Soak rice and urad dal for 6 -7 hours.
- Grind rice, urad dal and soaked poha (or boiled rice).Then put it aside for another 4 -5 hours for fermentation.
- Then add green chilli and ginger paste, hing and salt to it.
- In a steamer put water to boil.
- In a dhokla dish spread oil.
- Add eno to the batter and pour it to dhokla thali. Sprinkle red chilli powder and black pepper powder on it.
- Steam it for 5 mins. Serve hot.Spread oil on it before serve.
- U can tamper it by mustard seeds, coriander and white til.
We call this safed dhokla aka white dhokla. Because on occasion we make yellow colored dhokla where chana dal is used. So the color name used to differentiate both.
