  21. Prepare 1/4 tbsp Eno salt
  22. Take 1/4 tsp Ginger grated
  23. Take 1 Green Chilli chopped
  24. Get 1 tbsp Water
  25. Prepare to taste Salt
  26. Get For Green Dhokla
  27. Get 6 tbsp Besan/ gram flour
  28. Make ready 1/4 cup Curd
  29. Get 2 tbsp Spinach puree
  30. Take 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
  31. Make ready 1/2 tbsp Sugar
  32. Get 1/2 tbsp Oil
  33. Prepare 1/2 tbsp Eno salt
  34. Take 1/4 tsp Ginger grated
  35. Make ready 1 Green Chilli chopped
  36. Prepare to taste Salt
  37. Make ready 2 tbsp Water
  38. Take For Tempering
  39. Make ready 1 tbsp Oil
  40. Make ready 2-3 Curry Leaves
  41. Prepare 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  42. Take 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  43. Take 2 Green Chilies slit them and cut into halves
  44. Prepare 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves chopped
  45. Prepare 2 tbsp Fresh Coconut grated - optional
  46. Prepare 1/4 cup Water
  47. Make ready Other ingredients
  48. Take as needed Oil for greasing

Cut the tri color dhokla in desired shape and serve as it is or with some ketchup or dip of your choice. You may make this tri color dhokla using idli batter if you wish. Sadly my Tri-color dhokla recipe didn't go very well. I screwed up this recipe big time.

Steps to make Tri colour Dhokla:
  1. Making of Dhokla - Pour water in the steamer and switch the steamer on.
  2. Grease a bowl in which you are going to prepare the dhokla. - Take 3 bowls and add all the ingredients shown under their respective category separately for making batter in the ingredients herein supra except Eno and water.
  3. Then add water in all the 3 bowls and mix well leaving no lumps left.
  4. Now take the bowl carrying saffron batter first and add Eno and mix the batter vigorously either clockwise or anti – clockwise for about 45 to 60 seconds.
  5. Pour the batter in the greased bowl. - Repeat the process no. 5 for the white batter and thereafter for green batter.
  6. Gently spread the white batter over the orange batter and Likewise Green batter over the white batter.
  7. Keep on the steam for about 25 to 30 minutes.
  8. After 25 – 30 minutes, insert a toothpick into dhokla and check if it comes out clean, it is ready. Otherwise cook for more 5 minutes.
  9. Take the bowl out of the steamer and let it cool.
  10. Once it is cool, invert the dhokla from the bowl in a downward side upwards (means orange side on the top).
  11. For Tempering: - Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. When seeds begin to pop up, add cumin seeds, curry leaves and green chillies, saute them for few seconds.
  12. Add water and bring it to boil. Pour it over dhoklas evenly.
  13. Now cut the Dhokla in the cubes with a sharp knife. However you can cut the Dhokla either before tempering or after the Dhokla is ready. - Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and grated coconut - Your Tri colour Dhokla is ready…
