  5. Add sugar and khoya, stir properly and cook on low flame, stirring frequently in between. Carrot will take almost 45 to 60 minutes to thicken. Add chopped dry fruits and raisins.
  6. Stir halwa till ghee leaves the edges. Put off flame. Leave for 5 minutes then add kewra water.
  7. Gajar halwa is ready to be served.
