Steps to make Tikhee Meethi Chutney:
- For Green Chutney -
- In a mixer jar add mint leaves, coriander leaves,garlic, coconut,salt,sugar,chaat masala and grind to a smooth paste
- Take out in a bowl and add lemon juice to it. Spicy Mint Chutney is ready
- For Meethi Chutney -
- In 2 separate bowls add some hot water and soak tamarind & dates for 10 mins
- Strain the water out of tamarind & dates and place them together in a kadai. Add jaggerry powder, sugar & salt
- Switch on the gas and keep stirring the mixture for about 5-7 mins
- Just before switching off the gas add roasted cumin powder, rock salt,fennel seeds powder and chilli powder. stir & mix well.
- Serve the meethi chutney with any paratha or use in chaat. Tamarind chutney can be stored in the fridge for about 10-15 days
