  6. Add soaked tamarind piece and saute for another 2 minutes
  7. Add the required salt and mix well
  8. Let this mixture cool down completely
  9. Grind this mixture using little water to a smooth chutney-like consistency
  10. Heat a small pan. Add 1 tsp oil. Fry mustard and asafoetida and add it to the top of the chutney
  11. Serve it along with idli, dosa, adai or oothappam.
