  5. Take to taste Salt

  7. Make ready 1 tablespoons Ghee
  8. Take 1 tablespoons cumin seeds
  9. Get 5-6 curry leaves
  10. Make ready Pinch asafoetida
  11. Take 1 inch cinnamon powder

  1. Take buttermilk in one pot and add salt to taste.
  2. Add besan, jaggery and green chilli ginger paste.
  3. Make smooth curry with hand grinder. Put this on gas and Give a boil first and then simmer for 5 minutes more or as required. Continue to stir in between to avoid lumps from getting formed.
  4. For tadka in a small pan, heat ghee. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle. Add rest of the spices-cinnamon powder, cloves, curry leaves, broken red chilies and a pinch of asafoetida/hing. Fry for a minute. Add this tadka in kadhi pot.
  5. Garnish kadhi with chopped coriander and serve hot gujarati kadhi with rice, dal or phulka.
