  1. In a kadai, add oil. Once oil gets heat, keep the flame in medium and add dry red chillies.
  2. Then add shallots, curry leaves and salt. Saute till shallots becomes translucent.
  3. Add tomatoes, garlic and peanuts. Saute for 5 mins in medium flame.
  4. Atlast add tamarind, coriander leaves and grated coconut. Saute for 2 mins. Switch off the flame. Cool down completely.
  5. Transfer this in a blender, add water gradually and grind to a smooth paste. Transfer to a bowl.
  6. In a tadka pan, add the ingredients given for tempering. Fry it and add to the Chutney. Mix well.
  7. Now it's ready to serve with idli and dosa.
