- In a kadai, add oil. Once oil gets heat, keep the flame in medium and add dry red chillies.
- Then add shallots, curry leaves and salt. Saute till shallots becomes translucent.
- Add tomatoes, garlic and peanuts. Saute for 5 mins in medium flame.
- Atlast add tamarind, coriander leaves and grated coconut. Saute for 2 mins. Switch off the flame. Cool down completely.
- Transfer this in a blender, add water gradually and grind to a smooth paste. Transfer to a bowl.
- In a tadka pan, add the ingredients given for tempering. Fry it and add to the Chutney. Mix well.
- Now it's ready to serve with idli and dosa.
