  5. For making Rasam. First soak the tamrind in water for 5-10 mins.. In a pan heat oil and make tempering by adding mustard, turmeric, hing, curry leaves and red chilli..
  6. Once the mustard seeds splutter add the tamrind pulp, water, jaggery, salt, red chilli powder and boil for few mins..
