  4. In pressure cooker add toor dal pinch of Asafoetida, turmeric and few drops of oil. Pressure cook it for 2 whistles,do not whisk it.
  5. Heat oil in cooker,add mustard seeds, Asafoetida and curry leaves,then add cashews and dry red chilli in it fry it. Add all the veggies and stir it well, add 11/2 t spn of masala we made. Add tamarind pulp, salt cook it till veggies become little softer.
  6. Add boiled toor dal and 2-3 cups of water or water as required (Bisi bele bhaat is served in running Conistantancy) when it started boiling add soaked rice and Jaggery in it and pressure cook it for 2 whistles again.
  7. Serve it hot with adding ghee in it and chopped coriander leaves and grated coconut.
