- Take puttu mould (cylindrical puttu mould), add 1 tbspn of grated coconut and then 1 handful of prepared puttu mix. Again add 1 tbspn grated coconut followed by prepared puttu mix.
- Repeat the same process till puttu mould is full. It should be end with coconut layer.
- Fix puttu mould on top of vessel.
- Steam it for about 10 minutes or until done.
- Remove puttu mould from the vessel. Gently push the puttu using a stick or spatula. - Serve hot.
- Note : For checking right consistency, take a handful of wet rice flour and just press it. It should hold its shape and press littile harder it should crumble. This is the right consistency of puttu. There should be no lumps.
