Slightly sweet in flavour and very aromatic because of usage of pure ghee, this dal is cooked in a very typical way by monitoring carefully as it should not get mashed completely. It is the very famous lentil dish from West Bengal, that is served with hot and fluffy luchi specially on the occasion of Jamai Shosti, where the Son-in.   3. Boil the daal with salt and turmeric powder
  4. Heat oil in a pan add whole garam masalas jeera seeds bay leaf and red chilli whole
  5. Add ginger paste saute well adding salt and turmeric powder
  6. Add jeera dhaniya powder mix well
  7. Add red chilli Powder and nuts and raisins
  8. Pour the boiled daal and boil
  9. The daal is ready to serve
  10. Now take small balls of the dough roll into round shape and deep fry
  11. Serve it along with chana daal

Cholar Dal or Bengali Style Chana Dal. Alternatively, You can boil the lentil in an open pot. Fill a heavy-duty pot with water, add the soaked lentil, sprinkle salt and turmeric powder, and set it on the stove over high heat. Bengali Style Cholar Dal is a Bengali dish prepared from Chana Dal, ghee, coconut and other spices. This spicy goodness is packed with nutrition as chana is high in fibre and protein.
