  9. Get 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  10. Prepare 4 green chillies+1 inch ginger+1 cup coriander leaves (paste)
  11. Prepare 3 tbsp sugar powder
  12. Take 2 tbsp garam masala
  13. Take 2 tbsp snauf coarsely crushed
  14. Take 1 tbsp aamchur powder
  15. Prepare to taste salt
  16. Get cashew nuts pieces as required
  17. Get raisins as required
  18. Prepare For fried khasta kachoris..chaat
  19. Take Oil for frying
  20. Make ready as needed Khajur chutney
  21. Make ready as needed Green chutney
  22. Get 1 cup Yogurt (fresh dahi)
  23. Make ready 1/2 cup Besan Sev

When the oil is just hot Place khasta kachori on kitchen paper towels so that excess oil is absorbed. You can add baking powder if you want but not required. Just brush the kachori with some oil or ghee. Khasta Kachori is a delicious, spicy, fried puff pastry.

Steps to make Baked mini khasta kachoris & chaat:
  1. Wash split yellow moong dal with water trice.Soak in enough water for 2 hours.Grind chillies,ginger and coriander leaves in mixer grinder.
  2. In a mixing bowl add maida,ghee,salt mix and bind into semi soft dough.Cover and keep aside.
  3. In non stick pan add and heat oil.Add asofoetida and turmeric powder,add soaked dal.Add 1/2 cup of water and cook on slow flame.
  4. When cooked crushed with back of spoon to coarse mixture..add all spices,mix and cook until dry mixture is formed.Cool completely before using for stuffing.
  5. Knead again maida dough.Take a smaller size dough portion roll into 11/2" puri..on it place on 1 tsp moong dal stuffing mixture,place cashew nuts pieces and raisins as shown.
  6. Join all the edges and make round ball..flatten lightly with palms of hands.Prepare all khasta kachoris similarly
  7. Preheat airfryer for 10mins at 180C.Place prepared khasta kachoris on mash. Baked for 10 mins..remove from airfryer..cool for 15 mins…again baked (half baked khasta kachoris..shown in figure) for 15-20 mins till golden brown.(after 10mins flip over).Serve /relish with khajur chutney and green chutney.
  8. For fried kashta kachoris..half baked them in airfryer. Cool and deep fry in hot oil on slow flame till golden brown.(Half baked for less consumption of oil)
  9. To make chaat..with fingers make dent/ hole in centre of fried khasta kachoris… similarly do with remaining khasta kachoris (as required). Arrange them in serving shallow dish…on them sprinkle 1 tbsp each of green chutney, khajur chutney, whisk yogurt (fresh dahi) and besan Sev.
  10. Serve/relish immediately by garnishing with pomegranate seeds.
