  2. Make ready 10 pcs green bananas

As you have seen above, you can cook matoke without the meat strips thus making it vegetarian-friendly. I usually add some green peas while frying the matoke then have a side dish of kales or spinach while. Matoke is one of the traditional main dishes in Uganda and can be made with or with the meat. Instructions to make Matoke, beef and Rice:
  1. Peel your bananas and place them on salty water to avoid blackening
  2. Boil until soft, add salt to boiling water
  3. Boil your beef till soft and tender
  4. Add oil and fry till golden brown then add onions,royco cube then fry for sometime then add tomatoes
  5. Once tomatoes dissolve to make a thick soup add your matoke, stir until well incorporated
  6. Add some water and simmer it for 8minutes
  7. Serve with rice

Matoke is also the name given to a delicious, rib-sticking plantain stew that is a Ugandan national dish.
