- Pressure cook the raw bananas with the turmeric powder for 2 whistles. When cool, discard the skin and chop into cubes.
- Grind the coconut, garlic, cumin seeds, green chilies and 1 sprig curry leaves into a paste. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and temper with the mustard seeds, dry red chilli, 1 curry leaves and raw rice.
- After it stops spluttering, add the boiled banana, salt and the ground paste. Saute on a low flame for 1-2 minutes and switch off the flame. Serve as a side dish with plain steamed rice, jeera rice, sambar-rice, curd-rice or chapatis.
