Steps to make Green Pulao (Jain):
- Wash basmati rice and soak for 2 hours. Parboiled rice.keep aside.
- Boil french beans and green peas together. Chop capsicum in small pieces. Wash, peel and chop raw banana.
- Grind coriander leaves,mint leaves and chillies with little salt to prepare smooth chutney (if needed add 1-2 tbsp water)
- In thick bottom kadhai add and heat ghee & oil. Add cumin seeds,as they splutter,add capsicum pieces,mix and saute for 5 mins. Add raw banana pieces,mix and saute,cook till tender. Add & saute cashewnuts pieces and raisins.
- Now add grinded green chutney paste. Add and mix boiled peas and french beans.
- Now add parboiled basmati rice,mix gently, cook on slow flame on gas for 5 mins.
- Serve/ Relish Hot Green Pulao with Gujarati Kadhi.
