- Take 300 g White or brown rice
- Make ready 250 g Cabbage
- Get 600 g liver of cow or goat
- Prepare 2 onions
- Prepare 3 medium size ripe red tomatoes
- Get 100 ml Vegetable oil
- Get 1 piece medium size coconut
- Get 1 piece garlic
- Get 100 g fresh Ginger
- Make ready 40 g cumin seeds
- Get 2 table spoons of cumin powder
- Take 2 bunches Coriander flesh leaves
- Prepare 3 table spoons of red pepper powder
- Get 2 table spoons of Turmeric powder
- Make ready 1 table spoon of Coriander powder
- Take 2 pieces green pepper
- Make ready 1 medium size Avocado
- Get 2 medium size carrots
- Make ready Salt
White rice, however, is really just brown rice that has had the bran and germ layers removed, thus making it a "refined grain." The reason this matters is because the bran and germ layers contain various micronutrients, and when those layers are removed, that micronutrition is removed right along with it. There's white rice, brown rice, wild rice, red rice, and everything in between. Some are higher in Rich in carbs, it helps replenish muscle and liver glycogen stores, leading to faster recovery. Instructions to make Simple White or brown Rice, Cabbage and Liver:
- Clean your rice and rinse it to drain water then put it the the rice cooker or cooking pot.
- Grind your coconut and get the first thick cream by adding very very little water in ground coconut and squeeze on the sieve. Store it in a cup for later use.
- Add three cups of water to the coconut residues then drain that water on the sieve to use in your cooking of rice.
- Mix cumin seeds and then add three cups of water in step 3 besides 1 table spoon of salt.
- Place the mixture on moderate fire to keep boiling for 20 minutes
- Chop your liver into small pieces and cabbage separately
- Boil your liver in a pot for 10 minutes
- Cut Onions, Coriander leaves, green pepper and tomatoes in small pieces separately after thorough cleaning.
- Using mortar and Pestle crush fresh garlic and ginger separately and keep in small bowls.
- Clean and mince the carrots then store them separately.
- Keep watching your clock and if water in your rice has subsided, add the coconut cream by spreading it on the top evenly for it to be sucked slowly downwards. Reduce the strength of your flame to low level so that only steam cooks the rice. It should be done in 10 min then turn off the flame.
- Pour 60ml and 40 ml of vegetable oil on different cooking pots and mount them on flame
- When well boiled, add onions and green pepper respectively and stir it to mix well
- Add the crushed ginger and garlic respectively in the two pots and keep observing as you stir for 3 minutes
- Add Salt, tomatoes and minced carrots in the pots and stir the mixture slowly under moderate flame and cover them with their lids.
- After 3 minutes, add Coriander leaves to the pot that of 60 ml vegetable oil which will cook liver. Stir the mixture and cover it with the lid.
- After 2 minutes add the liver and cabbage in their respective pots and stir for liver while for cabbage just cover with the lid but reduce its flame.
- After 3 minutes stir the liver pot to ensure that each piece of it mixes well and cooks into the mixture. Do this repeatedly 5 times.
- Add 2 cups of water in the liver pot and wait for seven minutes to boil slowly.
- Add 1 table spoon of cumin power to each pot
- Add 2 table spoon of red pepper powder to Liver pot and 1 table spoon to cabbage pot.
- Add 1 Table spoon of Turmeric powder in each pot. This for colouring.
- Add 1 table spoon of coriander powder in cabbage pot.
- Stir both pots to mix well. After 2 minute you can turn off the cabbage pot and let it keep warm by steam from the covered lid
- Between (10-15) minutes you can turn off the liver pot flame but after ascertaining that it is tender to eat.
- Cut your Avocado into small pieces and arrange them nicely on a separate plate.
- You can graceful serve your food to the family as shown in the picture.
