  5. Take 2 green chillies
  6. Take 1 tsp cumin seeds
  7. Take 2 tbsp mustard oil
  8. Get 1 strip curry leaves
  9. Make ready 2 tbsp jaggery
  10. Take 1 tbsp tamarind pulp
  11. Take 1 3/4 cup water
  12. Get 1 tsp panch fodan

Instructions to make Bhendi Rai:
  1. Wash and cut the ladies fingers 1/2" inch size. Grind the cumin seeds and mustard seeds like fine paste.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai add panch fodan,chilli and curry leaves when crackling then add ladies finger, salt, turmeric powder mix it. Cover and cook for 5 minutes on slow flame, occasionally stirring it.
  3. Then add jaggery and tamarind pulp again cook for 2 minutes on slow flame then add mustard paste mixture and water cook for 5 minutes. Cover and keep aside for 3 minutes. Then serve hot with rice.
