Dhokla Recipe: The all time favorite Gujarati snack, Dhoklas are soft and tender vegetarian snack that is loved across the country and even abroad. To make Rava Dhokla ( Suji Dhokla), first take the semolina in a deep bowl. Curd helps in making Rava Dhokla ( Suji Dhokla) soft and gives a pleasant flavor. Suji Ka Dhokla is light to eat, low in fat and with no cholesterol at all.
Steps to make Suji Dhokla:
- In a bowl take suji, curd, green chilli paste, salt and water and mix everything properly to form nice batter. Now keep this to rest for 30 mins
- Now add eno and a tsp of water on it and whisk quickly to form nice fluffy batter.
- Now in a grease pan add the batter and keep in a steamer for 15-20 mins till dhoklas are nicely steamed. Check by inserting a toothpick, if it comes clear it's done.
- Now remove from the steamer and let cooled completely. Once cooled cut them with knife.
- For tempering take a tadka pan, add oil and let get hot nicely. Next add, mustard seeds and let it crackle then add sesame seeds, hing curry leaves and 2 green chillies and spread evenly on suji dhoklas. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve with green chutney
- It's super easy and quickly prepared with very less ingredients and too tasty and healthy too. You can have it as breakfast or as evening snacks with garam garam chai
