- In a bowl add besan, salt, cumin seeds, carom seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric, baking soda and make a thick batter by adding as required water. To get exact batter consistency dip the index finger in the batter and it should coat it properly without flowing.

- Remove from oil and let it cool. Then cut into small round thick circles and deep fry them again till brown and crisp. Sprinkle coriander powder or chat masala on them and serve warm.
